An Introduction

After more than seven years in corporate marketing, I decided to start my own business. The Ash Studio is where I work with companies that need clear, effective marketing—the kind that helps people understand what you do, why it matters, and how to talk about it. No overcomplication—just useful, well-made work that supports sales, product launches, and conversations that actually lead somewhere.

A lot of the companies I work with are in the personal care or nutraceutical industries, but the challenges are often the same: messaging that’s too vague. Marketing materials that don’t get used. Content that’s technically correct but doesn’t connect with anyone. This blog is where I dig into those patterns—and try to offer something more useful in return.

Some posts will be practical. Others more reflective. And a few might lean into the occasional well-placed rant. But all of them are shaped by real projects and conversations.

Whether you’re a founder, a marketer, or someone who’s been handed “the marketing” without much support, this blog is written with you in mind. It’s not here to cover everything. I just want to offer a few perspectives that might make your work a little clearer, faster, or easier to explain.

I’ll post when I’ve got something I want to say. There’s no content calendar, although I’ve already got a few ideas in mind.

I hope you find at least one of these posts interesting or vaguely helpful.
